I just wanted to thank you once again for the opportunity to stay at the cottage. Trentham is such a special place to our family. My mum was a Matheson and has fond memories of roaming Wombat forest with her extended family, her father coming home  after working at the family's  Eucalyptus distillery all day and the community atmosphere the town seems to still share.

My husband and I spent hours sitting by the fire listening to mums stories and watching her face light up as she reminisced (mums in her late 70s). We spent a lovely day exploring Blackwood and Newbry and going through the cemetery identifying the graves of mums great grandparents, grandparents, Aunts and uncles and cousins. The markets at Daylesford were fantastic as were the Falls, springs and bushwalks.

A special highlight was on the morning we were leaving. Just as we were getting up and feeling very sad to be leaving so soon (we could have stayed another week), I noticed it had started to snow. We sat and watched the snow as it danced outside and the look on mums face was unforgettable. It was just the perfect way to end our trip. Strangely just as we drove out of Trentham it stopped snowing and a rainbow appeared. The miracles of nature!

We will definitely be visiting again.
